The importance of Death to the extreme metal scene in general cannot be overstated-without them death metal would not be the same as it is today. For people who have never heard the album before and want to know whether or not it is worth it to purchase the album, I ask you: Are you fucking serious? Death pretty much single-handedly invented the genre of death metal and was a main influence on pretty much every extreme metal band to come after it.
